Award-Winning Moss Art for Caribe Royale Orlando

Caribe Royale, a four-star resort in Orlando, sought a nature-inspired design feature for its entrance. A custom installation of two preserved moss walls, featuring hand-sculpted egrets, was created to withstand humidity. This artwork enhances the lobby's luxury atmosphere, earning multiple biophilic design awards and boosting social media engagement.

Client Overview

Caribe Royale is a four-star resort and conference center located in Orlando, Florida. Known for upscale hospitality and an immersive guest experience, they were looking for a nature-forward design feature to greet visitors the moment they step inside.

The Challenge

The client wanted a dramatic, high-impact feature that aligned with the resort’s brand while also holding up in Orlando’s high humidity. They needed something custom — not off-the-shelf. The egret, their signature icon, had to be hand-sculpted into the design. Preserving detail and structure over time was also critical.

The Solution

We designed and installed two preserved moss walls positioned at the front entrance to create an instant “wow” moment. Each wall features a sculpted egret crafted entirely out of preserved moss, surrounded by a blend of natural textures and greenery. Every element was installed with care to hold up against moisture and lighting conditions.

The Results

These moss walls now serve as a living work of art for the Caribe Royale lobby. The egrets provide a subtle but iconic nod to the resort’s brand while adding a sense of luxury and calm. The project has since received multiple biophilic design awards and continues to generate attention on social media.
