Reviving Neglected Interior Beds For A Cleaner, More Welcoming Campus

Emory University revitalized its neglected exterior plant beds with low-maintenance plants and mulch, significantly enhancing the building's appearance, receiving positive feedback, and ensuring long-term health with minimal upkeep for a prominent campus area.

Client Overview

Emory University is one of Atlanta’s most prominent institutions, known for its academic excellence and beautiful campus. This particular project was for one of their admin and study hall buildings—an area regularly used by faculty and students.

Challenge

The building’s four exterior plant beds had become neglected over time. The plants were overgrown, the beds lacked structure, and the overall appearance no longer reflected the university’s high standards for its environment.

Solution

Our team refreshed all four beds with vibrant, low-maintenance plants and a fresh layer of mulch to bring structure and color back to the space. Plant selection was based on long-term durability and year-round curb appeal, while keeping maintenance simple.

Results

• Significantly improved visual appearance of the building’s entry and common areas
• Positive feedback from students, staff, and campus visitors
• Beds designed for long-term health with minimal upkeep
• Enhanced first impressions for a highly visible campus location
